Rex St. John, Age 38

Rex St. John Rex St. John The family of Rex St. John mourns his passing. Born October 13, 1970 at Danville, Indiana to Bruce St. John and Patricia Wainscott St. John. The family soon relocated to Owen County, Indiana. Entered into rest August 4, 2009 at his residence surrounded by loving family.

His memory will be cherished by beloved wife of 18 years, Linda (Hickman) St. John; children, Jasmine, Tiffany, Chad and Anthony St. John, all at home; mother, Patricia St. John of Spencer; brother, Adam St. John and his wife, Amy, of Ellettsville; sister, Angela Amador and her husband, Nick, of Spencer; seven nephews, four nieces; two greatnephews; and lots of friends.

He was proceeded in death by father, Bruce St. John; and both maternal and paternal grandparents. We're sure they're sharing a joke or a funny story. Rex was a brick mason for several years before becoming a communications officer for Owen and Monroe counties. He loved his job and felt he worked with a great bunch of police officers and emergency personnel. He was a past member of Spencer VFW Men's Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge.

Rex would have preferred to laugh and share rather than stand around crying. A gathering of family and friends was held Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Spencer VFW Post 1405, 78 E. Franklin St. Spencer, Indiana.

Cremation service provided by Bloomington Cremation Society under the direction of Nathan Butler Funeral Home. Online condolences to the bereaved family at: www.forevercare.org.
