by Amanda York Staff Writer

Owen Valley tennis coach Mike Spinks and his squad traveled north Wednesday evening to Brazil to take on Western Indiana Conference rival Northview, coming away with a 5-0 loss.

"Northview always has a strong team with experienced players," Spinks explained. "Our number two doubles (Dalton Vest & Corbin Worland) split the first two sets and played a tiebreaker for the third set. They lost 6-10. I feel they could have pulled out our only win. With experience they will learn how to play to win. All the junior varsity played and gained valuable experience too."

The Patriots were scheduled to travel to Greencastle Thursday evening, taking on the host Tiger Cubs before honoring its seniors on Monday, September 28 before their last home match against the West Vigo Vikings, scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Northview - 5, OV - 0 Singles
