North Daviess To Invade Patriot Hall for Preseason Exhibition

The Owen Valley varsity boys' basketball Patriots will take the hardwood tonight for the first test of the upcoming season in scrimmage action. The visiting Class 1A Cougars of North Daviess will tip-off with OV inside Patriot Hall at 7 p.m.

A year ago, North Daviess finished its 21-6 season with a 38-32 loss to Jac-Cen-Del in semi-state competition.

The Patriots finished 2008- 09 at an even 12-12, falling to West Vigo in the second round of Sectional 29 action at South Vermilion High School.

Tonight's controlled scrimmage will feature four quarters with a running clock. Admission is two dollars at the door, and season tickets for OV boys' basketball will be on sale at $30 for adults and $10 for OV students. The season pass includes admission to three Western Indiana Conference boys' and girls' double header action. Those three contests are against brown County on January 15, Edgewood on January 22 and Sullivan on february 5.
