Local Community Easter Cantata Draws Large Crowd Of 260 On Sunday Afternoon

The local community choir came alive Sunday afternoon for the “My Redeemer Lives” Easter Cantata on March 28, in the Spencer First Christian Church’s Christian Life Center. The cantata was a mix of traditional hymns and contemporary Christian songs celebrating the story of Christ’s resurrection.

The choir, made of approximately 45 singers from all different backgrounds from various local churches rehearsed for two months preparing for its debut performance.

Admission for the 261 in attendance was free, though a good will offering was taken for the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Spencer.
