by Donna Hardy SEW Correspondent

Claudia Monnett Claudia Monnett A memorable season came to an end for Cloverdale High School cross country runner Claudia Monnett at the Ben Davis Regional this past Saturday.

“Claudia had a fantastic run,” Cloverdale coach Katie Mosley said. “She PR’d! She ran against some of the best runners in the state and I am so proud of her. The course was new to her – and flat, which was great – but she made the best of it.”

Monnett was the 22nd runner to cross the finish line Saturday. She ran the course in 20 minutes and 26 seconds, which was a personal best.

The first place runner was Kieran Casey of Perry Meridian. She had a time of 18:38.

As she is only a sophomore, the Clovers are looking forward to ano ther two years with Monnett on their team.
