Charles C. Francisco, 85

Charles C. Francisco Charles C. Francisco Charles C. Francisco of Bloomington passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at the age of 85.

Charles was born into the home of the late Hiram Francisco and Alice (Corbin) Francisco on June 23, 1925 in Monroe County. After graduating from Stinesville High School in 1943, he joined the Marine Corps and served during WWII, serving in the South Pacific. He retired from RCA, worked at Chevrolet in Indianapolis, and farmed and raised cattle. Charles attended the Liberty Church of Christ and was a member of the American Legion Post #2000 in Bloomington.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances E. (Starnes) Francisco; and sister, Mary Brinson.

Charles is survived by his wife, Barbara (Cherry) Francisco of Bloomington; daughters, Lynn Woods (Don) and Nancy Roberts (Wesley), both of Spencer, and Nora Fulk (Michael) of Bloomington; son, James Francisco (Betty) of Norfolk, Virginia; stepsons, Tom Reynolds of Williams, and Rick Reynolds of Bedford; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and eight step-greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville with Bro. Jarrod Jacobs officiating. Burial is to follow at Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at: www.chandlerfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bloomington Hospital Hospice in care of the funeral home.
