Clifford Joe Terrell, Age 72

Clifford Joe Terrell Clifford Joe Terrell Clifford Joe Terrell, 72, of Spencer, passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Bell Trace Health and Living Facility in Bloomington. He was born on August 25, 1938 in Owen County, one of eight children born to Floyd “Shorty” and Lorena (Edwards) Terrell. Joe was a 1956 Spencer High School graduate and then joined the Air Force. Mr. Terrell retired from Indiana Bell Telephone (AT&T). He was also a member of the Salem Separate Baptist Church. Although Joe enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting mushrooms, family and friends came first.

Mr. Terrell is survived by his wife of 54 years, Martha (Bruner) Terrell; children, Tim J Terrell of Bloomington, Cindy (Kerry) Williams of Indianapolis, Carmen (Jerry) Wootan of Bloomington and Amber M. of Bloomington; eight grandchildren, Heidi Robertson, Rebecca, Hannah, and Levi Terrell, Megan and Joseph Wootan, Cara and Lauren Williams; five great-grandchildren, Leah, Thomas, Katie, Ava Robertson and Kaius Cash; siblings, Delores Freeman of Spencer, Floyd L. Terrell and Phyllis Nash, both of Illinois, and Fred Terrell of Martinsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Billy Terrell, Thomas Terrell and Ronald Terrell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery where graveside military rites will be performed by the Spencer American Legion and VFW. Friends may call Tuesday, 4:00-8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
