Mary Kathryn Bryan Fiscus

Mary Kathryn Bryan Fiscus Mary Kathryn Bryan Fiscus Mary Kathryn Bryan Fiscus, 87, of Spencer, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at IU Health- Bloomington Hospital. She was born in Decatur, Illinois on September 28, 1924, the only child of J. Lee and Lucy (Trimmer) Hooker. She was a 1942 graduate of Worthington High School. Mrs. Fiscus had been a member of the Spencer Baptist Church since 1951. She worked at the Spencer Evening World for 10 years and then Production Credit Association for 10 years. Kathryn enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and reading.

Mrs. Fiscus is survived by her husband, Stanley Fiscus, whom she married in 2007, daughter, Paulette (Ron) Medaris of Bonita Springs, Florida; daughter-in-law, Joni Bryan of Mooresville; granddaughters, Annette (Mark) Flaskamp of Avon and LeAnne Charboneau of Indianapolis; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob and Jonah Flaskamp, all of Avon; half-brother, James (Amanda) Hooker of Hannibal, Missouri; and two half sisters, Pauline (Herbert) Fields of Center Point and Janet Somers of Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Paul Bucher; first husband, Bernard Bryan in 2000; and son, Larry Bryan in 2009.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Rev. Shannon Benham will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Spencer Baptist Church.
