Police Recover Vehicle Stolen From OV Quarry

Staff Report

Following a week-long investigation, local authorities were able to locate and recover a stolen one-ton flatbed Ford pickup truck.

The white-colored service truck was reported stolen from Rogers Group’s Owen Valley Quarry in Spencer on Wednesday, March 28. Additional property damage was also reported at the quarry, located off of State Road 46W adjacent to the Spencer Walmart.

This past Thursday, April 5, Owen County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Greg Denny responded to a private residence north of Spencer where a local resident had discovered the stolen vehicle abandoned in a wooded area on his property.

Anyone with any information concerning this ongoing investigation is asked to contact the OCSD at 829-4874. As always, callers may remain anonymous.
