Ideas In The Attic

Dear Editor,

We would like to thank the contestants, sponsors, and all those who attended the recent Ideas in the Attic event at the Canyon Inn. The Owen County Chamber of Commerce was very pleased to see the response of those in the community and their encouragement to have another Ideas in the Attic in the future.

To recap, contestants came and pitched their business ideas before a panel of judges and a live audience in the lounge at the Canyon Inn. The judges awarded J & J Solar Cabins with a cash prize of $500, provided by the Owen County Chamber of Commerce.

We are grateful to all the sponsors and host, including the Indiana Small Business Development Center, the Canyon Inn, Spectrum Studios, and Ed Foreman. We also appreciate our emcee for the night, Judge Frank Nardi, and our panel of judges; Craig Coffman, Johnnie Robbins and Kurt Rosenberger.

We believe this event helped spark interest in local entrepreneurship and innovation. The night was definitely a success and we plan on continuing the series.

Ethan McNeil,

Owen County Small Business Coordinator
