DePauw Volleyball Camp Is July 10-11

DePauw University in Greencastle will host a volleyball camp on Thursday, July 10 and Friday, July 11.

Led by Deb Zellers, head coach of the Lady Tigers and a 1988 graduate of Owen Valley High School, the camp is open to youth ages seven to seventeen and will take place at the Lilly Athletic Center on DePauw’s campus. Campers may attend one session per day for $15 or both sessions for $25. Sessions are held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1-4 p.m. each day. Many campers attend both sessions, each day. Campers will also need to bring a lunch or bring $7 to purchase lunch at DePauw’s Student Union Building. Camp staff, consisting of DePauw coaches and players, will supervise campers during lunch.

The DePauw Volleyball Camp will divide campers into age groups and will focus on the fundamental aspects of the game. Each session will also end with an hour of fun and competitive team drills and play. Younger age-groups will have lowered nets and lighter volleyballs to assist in play.

To register for the camp, call coach Zellers at 765-720-3545. You will need to leave a message with the camper’s name, age, grade in school, school system and a contact number. You will receive a phone call in return to confirm your registration and answer any questions you may have. Registrations will be taken at the door if space is permitted, but early registration is preferred. Please arrive each day at 8:45 a.m. to check-in and register.
