Grey Dog Gallery Opens In Downtown Gosport

Grey Dog Gallery, a new art gallery and working studio operated by Niki Gazibara, recently opened at 31 Main Street in Gosport (pictured below, right). Gazibara (shown below, left) opened the space on Friday, September 4. The gallery will display the work of two new artists each month, with a show opening on the first Friday of the month. The site is also a working studio with Gazibara painting at the location. The next show will open on October 2 and run through October 30, featuring finished and progressive works by Gazibara. She also offers painting classes for both adults and young adults. The adults classes are ‘on the wine and canvas side,’ with the difference being the use of easels and pallets instead of tables and paper plates for paint. Classes are held every other Thursday. The space is also available for rent for exercises classes, meetings, etc. Those interested in renting the space can call 812-325-5816. The gallery is open for viewing hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 12-5 p.m. Coffee and tea are available as well. Gazibara is also sponsoring a pumpkin paint-off on Halloween at the shelter house in town. The gallery is always looking for new artists. (Staff Photos by Amanda York)
