OV Junior Varsity Volleyball Beats North Cougars, 2-1

Lexi Carver Lexi Carver The junior varsity Lady Patriots hosted the Bloomington North Cougars Tuesday evening, winning 2-1, by scores of 19-25, 25-24, and 15-12.

“The girls did awesome tonight and it was so much fun coaching/ watching them out there,” OV coach Rachel White said after the match. “The first set was so close, but we didn’t come out on top. Even in the second set, we were down, but that didn’t stop them. They never stopped pushing. Tonight the girls were able to show everyone just how athletic they are with their physical and mental abilities! I was so proud to be out there coaching them tonight! I hope we continue to push the rest of the season!”

Owen Valley was in scoring by Lexi Carver with nine point and by Courtney Ooley with three aces. Login Richardson led the offensive charge with eight kills while Carver added nine set assists.

The Patriot defense was led by Richardson with 15 digs while Laney Lewis led the blocking with one solo and two assists.
