“OWEN AFTER HOURS” NETWORKING EVENT, Tuesday, November 17, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Canyon Inn inside McCormick’s Creek State Park. Sponsored by McCormick’s Creek State Park and the Canyon Inn, in partnership with the Owen County Chamber of Commerce. The event will feature door prizes, appetizers, and a cash bar.

THE INDIANA SOCIETY SONS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION, DANIEL GUTHRIE CHAPTER will hold their fourth quarter meeting on Tuesday, November 17, in the basement of the Free Methodist Church on 4th Street in Bedford. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m.; meeting at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

THE OWEN COUNTY HOMESTEADERS will meet Tuesday, November 17, at 6:30 p.m. to tour the Fender 4 Star Meat Processing plant located at 1494 Rocky Hill Road. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.

COAL CITY AMERICAN LEGION POST #141 will meet Tuesday, November 17, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Post. Legionnaires will be finalizing the community parade and Christmas Party.

OWEN VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL WILL PRESENT ITS ANNUAL TALENT SHOW, Thursday, November 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Admission is $3 per person.

THE WOMEN OF THE GOSPORT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH WILL HOST THEIR ANNUAL HARVEST AUCTION, Thursday, November 19, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, located at the corner of North and Seventh streets in Gosport. The auction will feature delicious baked goods, snacks, cookies, cakes, pies, fudge, home-canned products, handmade crafts, holiday decorations, gift baskets, and numerous miscellaneous items. Door prizes will be awarded and refreshments will be available throughout the auction.

THE OWEN COUNTY AMATEUR RADIO will meet Saturday, November 21, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Spencer First Christian Church, located at 157 South Montgomery Street. After the meeting, around 10:00 a.m., there will be a VE test session for those wishing to obtain or update their amateur license. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.

THE ALPHA DELTA CHAPTER OF TRI KAPPA WILL HOST ITS ANNUAL “RAG DOLL CHRISTMAS BAZAAR,” Saturday, November 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Owen Valley Middle School.

THE CLAY COUNTY CHAPTER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION will meet Monday, November 23, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Clay County Historical Museum on East National Avenue in Brazil. A pie-tasting event will follow the night’s business meeting. Each member is reminded to bring their favorite pie, and a guest. The guests will serve as judges.
