Doris Galloway Doris Galloway Doris Galloway, 84, of Spencer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, February 27, 2017, at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.

There was a huge celebration in heaven as Doris arrived at the heavenly gates. The angels stood and applauded as the people whose hearts had been touched by Doris, shared their stories. Those left behind mourned their loss, but celebrated the reunion of her and her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Galloway, of 64 years.

Doris was born in Monroe County, on July 9, 1932, to Emery E. and Bertha L. (Oliphant) Litton.

She was a longtime member of the Spencer First Christian Church, loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Ginger Galloway of Spencer, and Lynn (Richard) Kuruzovich of Ellettsville; grandchildren, Casey Pace, Courtney (Bryan) Buehler and Kyle Pace all of Ellettsville, and Brittany (Dustin) Haywood of Bloomfield; great-grandchildren, Haley and Hannah Justis, Addison LaFree, Ainsley Haywood; sisters, Patty Noel of Spencer, Nancy Ragle of Ellettsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one sister, Peggy Henderson.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 6, 2017, at the Spencer First Christian Church. Dr. Allan Lewis will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Spencer.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, Spencer, and 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, Monday at the church.
