Constance M. Shanower

Constance “Connie M. (McGuire) Shanower, age 67, of Spencer, Ind., formerly of Bloomington, passed away peacefully at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at she and her sister’s residence.

Connie was born in Crawfordville on February 26, 1951, the daughter of Wayne V. & Gertrude M. (Crabtree) McGuire.

She attended Spencer High School and attended Ivy Tech. She and her husband Wade owned and operated The Loaf & Ladle Restaurant in Bloomington, on the square, for many years. In later years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughter, Robyn (Jeremy) Sumerfelt of Bloomington; a son, Casey (Barbara Nann) Shanower of Dallas, Texas; her sister, Sandra Fitzpatrick of Spencer; and a grandson, Ethan Shanower.

She was preceded by her parents and her husband, Wade A. Shanower, in 2011.

Private arrangements are in care of West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
