The semi-anual buffet luncheon for RCA/ GE/Thomson retires association members, former employees and guest will be held Thursday, April 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. upstairs at Terry’s Banquet and Catering, 3124 Canterbury Drive, Bloomington. Cost for the lunch is $12 per person when paid with the reservations ($14 when paid at the door). Reservations must be received by Monday, April 23. THE SPENCER LIONS CLUB LIONS’ LUNCH will be Thursday, April 26, from 11:00 a.m. through 1:30 p.m., at the Lions building on Main Street in Spencer. For only $6.00 per person you can have your choice of several soups, salads, drinks and desserts every Thursday in March and April. The food is prepared by renowned Lions’ chefs Charlotte Query, Sandy Miller and Rusty Freeman. All proceeds are used to maintain the community building, while is available for use by the public.

OWEN COUNTY S.O.U.N.D.S. will perform their annual spring concert inside the Owen Valley High School auditorium on Friday, April 27, beginning at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is “For the Love of Music” and the students will be performing some special pieces for the concert. Door prizes and a silent auction will be featured. This concert is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the concert in the high school cafeteria.

THE SPENCER PARK DEPARTMENT will host its annual Arbor Day get-together on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the shelter house at Cooper Commons. Spencer Masonic Lodge #95 wil hold their annual Jonah Fish Fry Saturday, April 28 from 4-8 p.m. at the lodge, located at 361 North Harrison Street in Spencer. THE OWEN COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY will host its annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner on Saturday, April 28. The featured speaker will be 8th District Congressional candidate Dave Crooks. The event will be held at the Spencer United Methodist Church’s I.G.A. building. Tickets will be sold in advance of the event and are $15 per person.
