State Park And Town Of Spencer Welcome Indiana State H.O.G. Rally For Second Year
“Everything went great,” Indiana H.O.G. Rally Event Coordinator Eric Anderson said. “We did a lot of riding on the roads of Owen, Brown and Monroe counties and even some as far south as Levenworth, Indiana down by the Ohio River. The weather was great and the town of Spencer was just fantastic about supporting us and having the Harley Owners Group in their local community.”
Early estimates anticipated seeing each attendee of the rally spend an average of $220 locally.
After holding the rally for back-to-back years here in Spencer, Anderson said that while the event will move on to Terre Haute in 2013, there is a good chance the group will one day return to ‘Sweet’ Owen.
“There is a possibility of coming back (to Spencer) in the future,” he said. “We had a great time. The Harley owners like to participate in the riding and non-riding games and show off their skills. We give a heartfelt thanks to the town of Spencer and the residents of Owen County for supporting us over the last two years and for letting us come into their backyard and have a good time.”
