Farmers’ Market Issues Thanks

Dear Editor,

The Owen County Farmers’ Market would like to thank everyone who visited our market this season. We welcomed back many familiar faces and made new friends. This season our vendors were challenged by a severe drought, but they persevered and were able to provide produce throughout the season. In addition we had several craft and baked good vendors who faithfully showed up every Saturday. Thank you to all the vendors.

Also, thank you to Lt. Col. Dave Allen and the Air Force Junior ROTC for presenting the colors at the start of the market, which they so kindly do each year. This season the market was forced to relocate due to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) construction at the courthouse. A special thank you goes to Rob Babbs for graciously and generously offering the use of the vacant lot by his store. Mr. Babbs also had the lot prepped, provided water and many other things for the market. In addition, we appreciate his employees for giving up their parking lot every Saturday morning. Lastly, thank you to the community for continuing to support the market.

Denise Line,

on behalf of the

Owen County Farmers’ Market
