Thank you and the Evening World staff for articles on my ‘Ag in the Classroom.’ This is always a real adventure into the school days of elementary students. Kids just simply make my heart smile, noting kids still say the actuality of things.
It is also nice when a student, parent or teacher sees me around town and tells me they enjoyed my visit and that learning about what is in their cereal makes them look at the labels, thus helping to make healthier choices.
Many thanks to Rob Babbs and Babbs SuperValu for generous donations and his encouraging the teaching of whole grains in children’s diets. Also thanks to Farm Bureau CSRs and to all the farmers who produce all the grains that make our cereal.
Thanks to the kids for your great attention and yes, don’t forget to eat some of that sweet, crunchy snack with lots of vitamins and fiber - “cabbage,’ it is a must have on New Years!
God Bless each of you,
Mrs. Doris Sheese
