Employment requests set to come before the board include the following:

•Approve calling back Erica Lee as a fourth grade teacher at SES.

•Hiring Cheryl Newley as a five-hour per day cook at Owen Valley Middle School.

•Hiring Carolyn Rush as a corporation bus driver.

•Hiring Harold Cooley as a custodian at OVMS.

A request to approve adding a 12-hour per week instructional assistant at SES will also be considered.

Concerning field trips, the board will consider a request to approve an overnight field trip for Mr. Fred Walden and Mr. Tim Soliday’s elementary school students to McCormick’s Creek State Park and Green’s Bluff Nature Preserve, May 22-23.

Requests to approve year-end transfers will also be considered.

An executive session, closed to the public, will get underway around 7:45 p.m. to discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining.
