Owen Valley Sports Complex Announces 2013 Baseball & Softball Signups & 2012 League Winners

The boys’ baseball ages 5-6 winner was the Greene’s Salvage team, coached by Ryan Robertson and Jason Douglas. Team members included: Cason Robertson, Jaden Douglas, Derreck Atkinson, Dakota Heidricak, Brayden McDonald, Dallas McIntosh, Mitchell O’Connor, Joey Ross, Mason Russell, Abigail McDonald and Benjamin Strong. The boys’ baseball ages 5-6 winner was the Greene’s Salvage team, coached by Ryan Robertson and Jason Douglas. The Owen Valley Sports Complex recently announced that it will hold baseball and softball signups for the 2013 season beginning Saturday, February 2, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Sign-up times will continue throughout the month of February on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., and again on Thursday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Owen Valley Sports Complex, located on Fifth Avenue in Spencer. Cost is $35 for T-ball and $50 for all other age groups.


The Baxter girls’ eight and under softball team, coached by David Drake and Steve Pendleton, won their division. Team members included: Kyndall Drake, Grace Pendleton, Hannah Pendleton, Emily Bray, Paige Hamilton, Maria Musgrave, Audrey Craven, Hannah Stantz, Gracianna England, Abbie Schnurpel, Breanna Martin and Cosette Sullenberger. The baseball squad winning the ages 7-8 division was Duling Insurance, coached by Brad Garrison and Brian Hamilton. Team members included: Hank Garrison, Zack Hamilton, Noah Pleake, Zane White, Dalton Freeman, Camden Long, Caleb Montgomery, Hunter Brown, Payne Waggoner, Jebodiah Ray, Mason Kelley and Kolton Meinert. Team members included: Cassity Harris, Mason Miller, Abbey Elliott, Hannah York, Lily Shrum, Natalie Lineweaver, Samantha Godwin, Kylie Batcho, Hannah Elliott, Montanna Strunk and Harley Prewitt. The Spencer Evening World team, coached by Amanda York and Keith Godwin, won the girls’ softball ages 10 and under division. Lewis Service Center, coached by Jason Beuerlein and Tim Lester, won the boys’ baseball ages 9-10 division. Team members included: Wyatt Beuerlein, Donnie Bailey, Hannigan Lewis, Kody Morlan, Brayden Moscrip, Nathan Phelps, Jacob Stantz, Blake Streit, Dylan Workman, Devin Harvey, Holden Nicholson and Aiden Clark. Lewis Service Center, coached by Jason Beuerlein and Tim Lester, won the boys’ baseball ages 9-10 division. NAPA Owen Valley Auto Parts, coached by Larry Figg and James Farmer, won the 12 and under division of girls’ softball. Team members included: Cami Morrow, Zoe Morrow, Abigaile Figg, Hailey Farmer, Tori Floyd, Nadia Glasscock, Veronica Jeffers, Larken Seymour, Mariah Strong, Samantha Trimble and Hannah Yeatman. NAPA Owen Valley Auto Parts, coached by Larry Figg and James Farmer, won the 12 and under division of girls’ softball. Team members included: Trevor David, Austin Hendrickson, Zach Lashbrook, Noah Alexander, Alec Akerson, Austin Winders, Tyler Benson, Colby Burris, Austin Wesner, Robert Herrington, Matthew Foster and Seth Harris. The winner of the 11-12 age group for baseball was the Spencer VFW team, coached by Rick David and Jacob Rector. Team members included: Trevor David, Austin Hendrickson, Zach Lashbrook, Noah Alexander, Alec Akerson, Austin Winders, Tyler Benson, Colby Burris, Austin Wesner, Robert Herrington, Matthew Foster and Seth Harris.

Team members included: Brie Newton, Jacey Hutcherson, Sabrina Delph, Becca Hawkins, Cassie Wood, Jordan Dittemore, Kelcie Grigsby, Aly Williams and Hailey Mitchell. The winner of the 16 and under girls’ softball division was West & Parrish & Pedigo, coached by Dylen Hutcherson and Sue Jones. Team members included: Brie Newton, Jacey Hutcherson, Sabrina Delph, Becca Hawkins, Cassie Wood, Jordan Dittemore, Kelcie Grigsby, Aly Williams and Hailey Mitchell.
