Driver Escapes Friday Afternoon Crash On U.S. 231 Without Injury

A local water delivery driver escaped this single-vehicle crash uninjured Friday afternoon on U.S. 231 North. Emergency personnel from the Owen County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) and Owen County EMS responded to the scene just before 2:00 p.m.

According to information provided by OCSD Deputy Clint Wampler, 52-year-old Brett Evans of Spencer had been northbound when a mechanical issue related to his front passenger side tire caused the A-1 Water delivery truck to pull to the right, sending the vehicle off of the east shoulder of the roadway and into a ditch where it inverted onto its passenger side.
