Salvation Army In Need Of Bell Ringers

Are you looking for local volunteer opportunities? The Owen County Salvation Army Service Unit #35 has volunteer opportunities for bell ringers for their Red Kettle Campaign, November 25 through December 24. Shifts are available from 9:00 a.m. through 9:00 p.m. every day of the week at either Babbs SuperValu or the Spencer Walmart. To volunteer, call Raymond or Margaret Amos at 829-0991.

The Red Kettle Christmas Campaign enables The Salvation Army to provide food, toys and clothing to over six million people during the Christmas season and helps more than 34 million Americans recovering from all kinds of personal disasters nationwide.

The Red Kettle campaign, first started in San Francisco in 1891, has traditionally been the Salvation Army’s most prominent fund-raiser.
