EXTENSION HOMEMAKERS SEWING DAY will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Wednesday, March 19 at the Purdue Extension Office, 180 South Washington Street. Please join in sewing items to help others. Everyone is welcome to come.

CREATING ART TOGETHER, Wednesday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Owen County Art Guild. Preschoolers are invited to explore the world of creativity with a parent.

ADDING YEARS TO YOUR LIFE, Friday, March 21, from 10- 11 a.m. at the Endwright Center, 631 West Edgewood Drive in Ellettsville. Dr. Guzik will offer simple tips to better health; ranging from dietary choices to easy exercises; plus ways to motivate one’s self to make these healthier choices. NICOLE SAFE HEAVEN FOUNDATION BENEFIT STILL BOARD SHOOT, Saturday, March 22, at the Spencer Conservation Club. Sign-up starts at 7 a.m.; shoot begins at 9 a.m. Ten rounds will be featured at a cost of $2.50 per round or $25 for all 10 rounds. Stock guns only (12, 16 or 20-gauge. THE OWEN COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE invites you to help welcome All About You Salon, Spa & Tan to its new downtown location at 59 South Main Street in Spencer. This event will take place on Saturday, March 22. There will be an Open House with refreshments and door prizes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.

THE SPENCER CONSERVATION CLUB STILL BOARD SHOOTS will continue each Sunday morning at 9:00 thru the end of March. Next event will be held Sunday, March 16 at 9:00 a.m.

PRAISE & WORSHIP CHURCH will host preacher Nick Robertson with music by Bob & Sue Robertson this coming Sunday, March 23 at 3:00 p.m. The church is located at 7241 Locust Lake Road, Spencer. For more information, call 829-6046.

BUS TRIP TO FERDINAND, INDIANA, Tuesday, March 25, hosted by the YMCA Senior Social. Bus departs from the Owen County Family YMCA at 8:45 a.m. for a guided tour of the Ferdinand Benedictine Monastery and lunch at the historic Harvest Moon. SEWING CLASS AT THE OWEN COUNTY ART GUILD, Tuesday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Anyone who wants to learn to sew or improve their skills can attend this free sewing classes. Bring your own machine, if you can. Call 829-1877 for more information.

HAWAIIAN PLATE LUNCH FOR ONE, Thursday, March 27, from 1-2 p.m. at the Endwright Center Kitchen, 631 West Edgewood Drive in Ellettsville. Carol Reynolds (native Hawaiian) and Mac McLauchlin (of Bloomingfoods), will instruct participants on how to create a Hawaiian “local plate lunch.” This popular dish is a staple in most Hawaiian households and can use varied ingredients of your choice. Cooking for One classes promote healthy nutrition and are free to participants. Donations are gratefully accepted to help fund our free classes and programs. MONROE COUNTY LIMBHANGERS CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL WILD TURKEY FEDERATION (NWTF), ANNUAL HUNTING HERITAGE BANQUET, Friday, March 28 at the Army National Guard Armory, 3380 South Walnut Street in Bloomington. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; dinner at 7:00 p.m. Buffet style dinner, raffles, live and silent auctions, NWTF prints, knives, merchandise and more. Cost is $50 per person, or $60 per couple. THE GOSPORT LAZY DAYS COMMITTEE will meet Tuesday, April 1, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Gosport Community Building. These committee meetings are open to the public.
