‘Pinwheels For Prevention’ Ceremony Set For Tuesday, April 8th In Spencer

In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, a “Pinwheels for Prevention” ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. on the lawn at the Indiana Department of Child Services, Owen County, located at 450 East Franklin Street in Spencer.

Members of the community are urged to attend to help “get the word out on how to prevent child abuse in Indiana.”

According to organizers, “Owen County is a great community for children to thrive. We have wonderful prevention services and practices already taking place, so let’s educate our community and celebrate everyone that is standing up to stop child abuse.”

During the program, several community leaders and service providers will provide reasons why our community is strong and becoming stronger. They will discuss what is available to our community, how to access those services, and how you can get involved.

Entertainment will be provided by the Owen Valley High School Band.
