OWEN VALLEY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP will host ‘From Mourning to Joy,’ an event centered on coping with the death of a loved one Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5. Friday’s portion of the event will be held from 7-9 p.m., and resume Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., with lunch and refreshments provided. Speakers will include Dirk and Sherry Tucker, whose son, Zach, passed away from cancer. Also speaking will be Rob and Joy Grandi, both of whom lost spouses, Rob’s wife to cancer and Joy’s husband to a tractor accident. OWEN COUNTY FARMERS’ MARKET will hold an informational vendor meeting on Monday, April 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the banquet meeting room of the Tivoli Theatre. If you are considering becoming a vendor at the Owen County Farmers’ Market during the 2014 season, organizers encourage you to attend this meeting. Guest speakers will be present from the Owen County Board of Health and Indiana Department of Health WIC division to discuss regulations and programs as well as answer questions. Organizers will also be discussing the 2014 season, taking vendor contracts, and assigning vendor booth spaces.
