Drug Take-Back Day Saturday, April 26th

On Saturday, April 26, from 12 noon to 2:00 p.m. the Spencer Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its seventh opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your medications for disposal to Babbs SuperValu at 459 West Morgan Street in Spencer or to the Cunot Community Center, located at 5530 State Road 42 in Cunot. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.

The Spencer Police Department has been involved in this event since its start in 2010 and has been placed on the National Register of Drug Take-Back Facilities, meaning your unwanted medications can be dropped off at any time day or night.

The Spencer Police Department would like to extend its appreciation to Babbs SuperValu as well as the Cataract Lake Area Crime Watch for sponsoring these events. If your organization or business is interested in assisting or sponsoring this event in the future, contact the Spencer Police Department at 829-3932. The next projected “Take-Back” date will be in October of this year.
