Join The Fight Against Cancer By Supporting Annual Relay For Life

Staff Report

Join in the ongoing fight against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Owen County, set for Friday, June 13th and Saturday, June 14th at the Owen Valley High School track. Join or form a team, buy a luminaria in celebration or remembrance of a loved one, or simply donate to Owen County Relay For Life.

The American Cancer Society Relay For Life offers our community a way to celebrate cancer survivorship, remember loved ones lost and fight back against a disease that takes too much from too many. The funds you raise go to fund cancer research, prevention, and services. American Cancer Society funded research is currently happening in the state of Indiana on both the Indiana University and Purdue University campuses.

One out of every two men and one out of every three women will face a cancer diagnosis in his or her lifetime. Money raised at this Relay For Life supports the American

Cancer Society’s efforts to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures and fighting back. By lending your support to the Relay For Life of Owen County this year, you’ll be helping the Society finish the fight and bring an end to cancer as we know it.

For more information, contact Crystal Smith at crystal.smith@cancer.org or 812-701-4537. You can also visit www.relayforlife.org/ owencountyin.
