OV’s Andrew Strong Competes At ‘14 IHSAA Boys’ Track & Field State Finals

New Owen Valley High School graduate Andrew Strong had cause to celebrate Saturday evening as he not only received his diploma after taking part in commencement exercises at OVHS, but he also took part in the 111th annual IHSAA boys’ Track & Field State Finals at the Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex at Indiana University. Andrew plans on pursuing a track career at Hanover University, where he would like to further his education in physical therapy and eventually obtain a job as a physical therapist. He is shown above with the scoreboard in the background and his name in lights and below left as he ran in the first heat of the 300-meter hurdles. He finished with a time of 41.06 for 24th place overall. Center Grove’s Justin Veteto won the event with a time of 36.85.
