Volunteer Attorneys Will Provide Free Legal Advice On Martin Luther King Day

The District 10 Pro Bono Project, Inc. will partner with area attorneys to answer questions and provide free legal advice to individuals by walk-in or phone on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 16.

Interested parties can access this event by visiting the District 10 office at the corner of 11th and North Walnut streets in Bloomington, or by calling 812-339-3610 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Martin Luther King Day. This will be an excellent opportunity to have legal questions answered while speaking directly to an attorney. There is no income requirement for this service.

While this one-day service is not a substitute for retaining an attorney for legal representation, attorneys may be able to give answers to some legal questions. This project is co-sponsored by the District 10 Pro Bono Project, Inc. and the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) as part of ISBA’s annual “Talk to a Lawyer Today” Program.

In addition, a Spanish hotline, 800-279-8772, will be made available to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. that same day.
